The objective is to make a working WASI implemention for GJS, so that complex extensions such as GSConnect can make use of languages like Rust to implement the underlying KDEConnect protocol.
This could also be used to run SQLite easily on a gjs/GTK application.
Well in reality this unlocks a thousand of possibilities and I can't list them all.
(3/5) #Gnome is supposedly more opinionated, providing fewer options and a more minimalist experience. That's definitely not what I'm looking for, but it seems like Gnome extensions can offer any customization that KDE settings can.
My experience in Web Dev also makes me feel pretty confident writing my own extensions and themes in #GJS
One option based on #GStreamer and #gjs would be Clapper (https://github.com/Rafostar/clapper).
IMO a solid choice, but surely needs some polishing.

I submitted a pull request for the noa11y-extension porting it to gnome 45 on the weekend to get my feet wet. I have to say, the gjs extension docs have become really good!
Thanks to Philip Chimento for the mentions at #guadec2023 on #gjs stuff I worked on...
