I captured this image of San Francisco and the Golden Gate bridge on a cool winter day with a small storm clearing and blowing past the city.
This was captured from a location known as Hawk Hill in the Marin Headlands. Hawk Hill allows one of the highest vantage points of the bridge and the city.

There is a large tanker ship heading in towards the San Francisco Bay just about to pass under the Golden Gate Bridge. The Golden Gate Bridge is seen spanning the Golden Gate from the Marin Headlands to San Francisco. Beyond the bridge is the San Francisco Bay and the city of San Francisco in the center right of the image. Behind all of this are some large puffy clouds from a clearing storm blowing east.

Golden Gate Bridge and Ft Point

There's something about being around the Golden Gate Bridge. It's placement between hills on both sides of the San Francisco Bay leave scenic views from most any angles. The pacific Ocean on one side and the San Francisco Bay on the other is just full of natural beauty.
Framed by an old rusty chain to give the image a different perspective.

Golden Gate Bridge and Ft Point This is an image of the Golden Gate Bridge and Ft. Point taken from the edge of the San Francisco Ba. I framed the foreground with the old rusty chain that marked the boundary of the parking lot. As you follow the chain down the left side of the image it brings you around to Ft. Point. This is a large old military fort that was built to protect the opening of the bay. The bridge comes in from the upper left over Ft Point and then moves toward the center as it makes it's way across the opening of San Francisco Bay.
