Despite barely having the central duo, the #XFiles #FMV game from the late 90s does maintain a real feel of the series not only because Skinner is there frequently, but mostly because it was obviously also shot in the gloomy ass Vancouver area like so much of X Files (and Millennium) which was such a hallmark of the show before they switched to LA late in its run.

#retrogaming #90s

Okay I am freaking out! An unreleased FMV game from 1996, Maximum Surge, had it's footage repurposed for a very low budget movie called, Game Over.

I was watching VFX Artists React and their guest Bill Mesa, is a very accomplished vfx artist. He mentions he has recently done work on the remastering of the fmv games, Double Switch and Corpse Killer BUT, they also mention their current project, releasing Maximum Surge. This is the only reference I've seen of this existing #retrogaming #fmv

I've had The Shapeshifting Detective on my to play list for a while. It's a murder #mystery #game where you're a detective who can turn into anyone you meet. Using the guise of other people, you can gain information (and get caught) easier than as just an outsider.

Oh, and it's entirely acted. I enjoyed this game immensely, and wanted to share it all with you.
