@todayilearned Sounded too high to me. But I see where you got that number from: "About one-third of hikers spent between $5,000-$8,000 on their hike. However, the most common amount spent was $10,000, and a whopping 24 people spent $15,000 or more! This brought the average and median up to $7,212 and $8,000, respectively."
So, depending on which definition of "average" you're using....
