With fascism there is no other side... it is either yes or no, pass or fail... that's it.
When they don't fight it, they pick it. That's how it works. There is no secret third way here... so ignoring fascism so they can focus on their everyday lives TM is picking fascism.
Fascism only needs to win once to be in control and the best way for that to happen is to not act...
