@bhasic As a species, our egos, get the better of us. Despite some of us being very smart, some significant % of those are selfish users. Smart enough to grab up wealth , but not think in terms of billions in an ecosystem, headed towards the brink. Hence selfish, not smart or wise enough. The rest of us are sheep being herded towards an ugly landscape.

It's not just that we've built a world where self serving bastards find it easy to thrive And tale control Of those things, but also 4 out of 5 people given control over significant amounts of such things will develop sociopathic tendencies, and tend towards rigging the system in favour of those with power.
If there is one universal truth that should be taught to all kids it is that "you too, are not immune to becoming an arsehole".
