The #Philippines🇵🇭 weather agency #PAGASA made a very rare decision in assigning the local name #RominaPH to a tropical depression even if it wouldn’t enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility or PAR.

This and the earlier Typhoon #FerdiePH / Bebinca actually reinforces my opinion that it’s high time that the PAR be redefined to an area that’s more relevant for PH weather advisories.
