A year with password manager bitwarden
I moved from 1Password to @bitwarden almost exactly a year ago, and I've written up my thoughts.
tl;dr. I am a fan... mostly.
(I am using the self-hosted version; most of this will also be relevant to the bitwarden-hosted vault.)
Just read a story about the Denver case against Google searches, and also remembered a story about fake warrants to some big tech companies … I initially thought that at least they’d done some due diligence to have a judge signed off in these difficult cases. One could see & read about potential & real ramifications of these searches. But I also wonder about the qualifications of judges in these situations & whether they were sufficiently technologically aware to be objective about the cases.

Over 4 billion people use the Web. Fewer than 10 million people use the Fediverse.
If you're a developer and wish to make the Fediverse more popular, building Fedi tools for users already in the Fediverse will barely change that number. Building Web services that just happen to have Fediverse integration will make for a massive change.

One of the best parts of collaborating with @m3me is being able to discuss various aspects of #techethics at length. We thought these conversations might be interesting to others who are exploring the emerging field of #responsibletech, so we've decided to start sharing them with the world in our monthly #TalkingTethix Show.
You can now watch the first episode on why tech ethics is more than just a role on our YT channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYcZseCgSDhsFLcTVgv9aYg
